Smite Is Going Old School With Runescape Crossover

Smite might be eight years old but this long standing MOBA is rolling back the clocks with a Smite x Old School Runescape crossover on 15 November.

The gods of Smite might be used to unusual compatriots on the battlefield, but nothing quite like this. After playing host to air benders and Autobots, Smite is throwing its doors open to Old School Runescape. The Hi-Rez arena battler just announced the crossover event with a brand new teaser trailer across social channels, and this collision of two iconic realms is looking to be as chaotic as you’d expect.

For hardcore Smite veterans who have never heard of it, Old School Runescape is a low poly playable version of the behemoth MMO Runescape. Rolling the servers back to a time when 3D graphics were charming but very rough around the edges, this alternative version of Gielinor has its own massive following. Now this retro MMORPG will arrive with legendary faces such as Wise Old Man, Gnome Child, and King Black Dragon facing off against the Gods.

You’ll be able to don Rune Armour as Bellona, and dress up like Wise Old Man if you have the urge to show off your Slayer skills. Alongside these two, Vamana and Neith will both get classic skins straight out of Runescape too.

While we don’t have a ton more information on the entire Runescape crossover event quite yet, you can check out the astonishing trailer above and prepare to PK in Smite, on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch platforms for free. Runescape is, of course also ready to welcome you all across iOS, Android, and PC right now too.

Now, you will find me squawking across a multitude of sites and even getting to play games now and then
