With Far Cry 5’s much-anticipated release still a few weeks out, Ubisoft releases its live action short titled Inside Eden’s Gate today on Amazon’s Prime Video service. You can check out the trailer above!
Following the “last hurrah” of three vloggers, Inside Eden’s Gate takes its main trio on their final ride to Hope County, Montana. Tipped off by one of the locals, they find themselves in the middle of strange religious practices, rumours of abductions, and a brother trying to free his sister from the controlling clutches of the Project at Eden’s Gate. Will they make it out alive or will these three meet an apocalyptic end?
The film uses a mixed medium approach of professionally shot pieces and “found footage” to tell its story. Carrying over Greg Bryk’s performance as Joseph Seed from the game, Inside Eden’s Gate gives a teasing taste of what the game holds for players: a charismatic cult leader, mysterious control over a region, and the heaviness of a town shrouded in an ever-present darkness.
