The Sega Bus has already revved up and started on a UK tour. If you are in one of three select Uk locations then there’s an opportunity to get hands-on with some retro Sega action this month.
Just in time for the UK half-term holidays and beyond, Sega and Game are taking the Sega Mega Drive Mini on tour. Known to many of you as the Genesis Mini, this dainty retro console hardly needs an entire bus to get around town but the Sega Bus is a bit more than a moving power port for the minuscule platform. With this micro machine just launching in the EU recently, the Sega Bus is giving potential players the option to get to grips with the console and play some fan favorites like Ecco The Dolphin, Sonic, and Streets of Rage. This promo event will also feature a bunch of pop up competitions and giveaways when it reaches the following destinations.
London Kidtropolis Excel – 19th – 20th October, 9:30 am – 6:30 pm
Birmingham Bullring – 24th October, 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
Manchester City Centre Market Street – 26th – 27th October, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Nottingham ScareFest Trinity Square – 30th October, 9:00 am – 7:30 pm
Those of us busy at EGX London might have missed the first stop o this tour but anybody further North with a few days spare over the school holidays might want to show the kids why the internet is quite so worked up over the Sonic Movie or just how tough 16-bit streets really are.
The Sega bus isn’t something you see every day. If you spot it on its truck across the UK let us know. If you aren’t anywhere near the remaining stops then you can find out more about the SEGA Mega Drive Mini over at the official website and as soon as we get our mitts on this nostalgic piece of plastic we will let you know what we think.
