Studio Wildcard has confirmed that ARK: Survival Evolved Ultimate Survivor Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch on Tuesday, November 1st. The North American update is expected to launch first. The EU version update will be released on November 8th. Players who already own the Switch version of the game will receive a free update that will feature all of the improvements coming in the Ultimate Survivor Edition.
The update for Switch improves visual quality and performance, reduces loading times, adds QoL features like a virtual cursor for improved inventory management, and much more. This is the definitive collection on Switch that also includes upcoming patch improvements as well as all expansion packs. Day One will include Scorched Earth; with Aberration, Extinction, and Genesis Parts 1 & 2 coming in subsequent months.
The free kid-friendly Dinosaur Discovery update will be available worldwide starting November 9th. Dinosaur Discovery offers children simplified Switch controls so they can play using only one Joy-Con. Kids will find a non-violent dino-fact-filled adventure. Along the way, they’re sure to learn tons about history’s biggest residents. As they journey through Dinosaur Discovery, kids will be able to learn about these massive cretures and unlock Dino Books that are filled with facts about each. Most excitingly, this is a separate downloadable version of the game that will be available on the Nintendo eShop.
