Baldur’s Gate 3 Launches August 2023 – Check Out TGA Trailer

Developer Larian Studio took part in The Game Awards 2022 with a new trailer for turn-based cRPG Baldur’s Gate 3 and the most exciting announcement: the party ventures forth in August 2023 when the game hits full release.

“There is someone I want you to meet, a friend who sees the world in simple terms. Not just a friend – a Legend. He is not the kind of man who takes kindly to captivity. The cult captured him, I almost feel sorry for them.”

With the launch happening in August, there is still plenty more to unwrap before the year is over.

“Don’t miss Panel From Hell: Holy Knight on December 14th @ 10am PST / 6pm GMT – featuring special guest Geoff Keighley! Join us for a hellaciously festive stream as Swen Vincke and the dev team delve deeper into our Game Awards announcements and the contents of Patch 9.”

What can we possibly expect from the upcoming Patch 9? To have a clear idea of what a major BG3 patch entails, let’s take a look at Patches 6 through 8.

  • Patch 6: Forging the Arcane introduced new Grymforge region, the Sorcerer class with two unique subclasses Wild Magic and Draconic Bloodline; new weapon actions, massive graphical overhaul and much more.
  • Patch 7: Absolute Frenzy added a new Barbarian Class with two Subclasses – Berserker and Wildheart in addition to HUD UI overhaul, brand-new Character Sheets, search filters, Thrown Weapons, new music & animations.
  • Patch 8: Of Valour and Lore expanded the class options of the game with Bard, with its own unique subclasses – College of Valour and College of Lore. Additionally, players got new race: Gnomes, Swarm AI, hair upgrades, improved multiplayer stability and more.

Sooo… Paladins? Monks? BOTH if you are really greedy this Christmas? Stay tuned to find out!
