Blue Isle Studios has announced that it is at work on LEAP, a “blend of FPS genres”. According to press information, the game allows players to choose from four classes and “soar across sci-fi battlegrounds with hoverboards and flying segways”. Closed beta testing is anticipated to kick off beginning Wednesday, January 19th. Interested players are invited to head to the game’s site to sign up for an opportunity to join CBT.
Players will select from four unique classes, each delivering a unique balance of power, agility, and defense as well as epic abilities that bring shock and awe onto their foes. Call in orbital strikes, set up automated turrets, or control guided cruise missiles as each exosuit is armed to the teeth. Large-scale combat takes place on a variety of stages and skilled mercenaries use jetpacks, grappling hooks, and highly distinctive Personal Vehicles to close the distance on control points and active firefights. Nothing is more menacing than a LEAP mercenary saddled on a mechanical moose galloping at full speed.
Other features include a pair of factions to explore and join as well as 60-player battles to take on the competition and grind them into the dirt. Players will have an opportunity to grab killer contract bonuses along the way.
The game will be launching into Steam early access in February 2022.
