Coridden – Devs Outlined Dialogue System

Coridden - Devs Outlined Dialogue System

Developer Aftnareld  and publisher Anshar Publishing are back with another dev blog for shapeshifting aciton RPG Coridden. Having shown the battle side of things in previous posts, the team now focuses on the narrative.

Players are not limited to being a passive listener and instead are treated as an active participant in the unfolding narrative, and be given options to dig deeper for more information, decide how to solve a problem, or even select the type of reward you desire. Choices lead to new secrets, quests and outcomes.

The devs note that characters’ personalities matter, as the protagonist siblings have different approaches to people and problems. This also extends into the co-op mode of the game that employs the voting system:

“When there are multiple options available, each player can vote for the answer they prefer. If there is a tie, a 50-50 chance determines the selected option. Even if the majority leans towards one option, there is still a chance for the less popular choice to be selected. This makes sure every vote is always viable, and adds a fun element of unpredictability to the dialogue outcome!”

If you want to learn more about the sibling protagonists, the devs rolled out a new blog post dedicated to the four characters. You can find it here.

“The siblings are more than just colorful characters on your screen – they’re people with their own unique personalities. By understanding their temperaments, you’ll be better equipped to make choices in the game and avoid potential surprises. Let’s get to know them better!”
