Prepare to steel yourself for an encounter that is nowhere near as pedestrian as it sounds, when Tower Tag arrives on Quest headsets.
Tower Tag is not actually a playground classic turned neon tinged sci-fi VR adventure. Instead this fierce sci-fi shooter is about to bring its own mix or high flying action to the Quest platform. Meta’s VR headsets will soon play host to a very different shooter where players look to duke it out up int the night sky without much more than a few steps between themselves and gravity.
Available now on Metas storefront, Tower tag takes the traditional VR arena shooter and throws it up in the air. Players pulling on a Quest or Quest 2 will want to watch their footing as they pick from a total of 10 maps, 3 game modes and much more on the horizon. Whether you pick Team Deathmatch, Elimination or Goal Tower modes, this PvP focused experience provides plenty of ways to take out the opposition, whether you run and gun solo or team up with up to three other allies.
While two feet on the ground might seem like a much more intuitive approach for a VR sim, Tower promises no motion sickness thanks to some finely tuned presentation and a movement system that allows competitors to flit in and out of combat using an intuitive grappling-hook locomotion system. Developers VR Nerds have plenty of experience with this title in the arcade space, so we’re expecting great things. If you want to try out a fast-paced shooter but Vail VR is a little too realistic then this arcade sci fi setting is available on the AppLab or Sidequest storefronts now
