Elite: Dangerous Horizon is Now Free for All Owners

Frontier Developments has announced that the massive Elite: Dangerous expansion, Horizons, is now free to all base game owners. Horizons is available for download on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Players will gain access to all of the planetary landings and surface recon vehicles that allow them to “seamlessly travel from space to the surface of accurately simulated planets and moons throughout the full-scale Milky Way galaxy”.

Other features include:

  • multi-crew joint operations
  • weapon crafting
  • ship-launched fighters
  • permission to land at surface starports and other locations
  • services of the Engineers

Players that had already purchased Horizon will receive an Azure paint job that is compatible with all of the ships in the game.
