From Space Is About To Send ET Packing With An Explosive Announcement

On 29 September Earth is going to need some help. Rebuff a neon-tinged alien invasion in the action shooter, from Space.

Alien invasions aren’t exactly a new phenomenon in video games. From Galaxian to Mass Effect, there’s always a new threat. However, Curve games has a brand new top-down shooter that needs your trigger finger to save humanity. From Space is now set to land on PC, Stadia, and Switch on 29 September.

Set in an apocalyptic world where the alien invasion has already happened, it’s up to you and your friends to take up the fight and weave through waves of alien infiltrators in this top-down shooter. Designed for players of all ages, according to developer Triangle Studios, and perfect for some multiplayer entertainment, From Space accommodates squads of up to four players as they face endless horde of menacingly pink aliens taking over our planet!

Along the way, gamers will be able to utilize rocket launchers, miniguns, flamethrowers and more to dispatch the enemy of humanity. There’s plenty of room to build your own spec and play the way you feel happiest, supplementing your main weapon with mines grenades, barbed wire, and other tactical utilities. Each player will also wield a special skill and extra perks that tie into the leveling experience. As you overcome bigger and nastier alien bosses, you’ll grow stronger and more capable of overturning the alien overlords.

This all sounds pretty dark, but with an aesthetic and soundtrack that seem more like Just Shapes and Beats than Red Solstice, the apocalypse has probably never been quite so colorful. If you’re looking for the upbeat fun of Ninjala mixed into some trigger happy action, then From Space will cost £15.99 / $19.99 / €19.99 on Steam, Stadia and Nintendo Switch soon.
