Graduation Gets Gruesome As Ysbryd Reveal Demonschool

Necrosoft Games and Publisher Ysbryd Games an upcoming RPG that mixes elements of Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, and a higher educational hellmouth.

School might have been Hell for many of us, but Necrosoft Games and Publisher Ysbryd Games are set to up the ante with their latest offering Demonschool. This newly announced title is set to invite players to attend a prestigious university, where they will get to put down the books and dabble in some other worldly investigations. Announced just yesterday, during the PC Gaming Show, this new adventure is set to begin term time on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Steam Deck in 2023. Drawing on elements of classics like Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, and Italian horror cinema, this is something of a standout in a weekend overflowing with announcements.

Anything coming from the publisher behind cult hit VA-11 HALL-A usually gets our attention, and this streamlined tactics experience will put players in the shoes of freshman Faye, the last living heir to a long-forgotten family of demon hunters. Teaming up with a band of misfit friends, Faye and her new found friends must push back a series of unnatural events and uncover a dark conspiracy that hides in the shadows of this center of academic achievements. Players will be able to take control of this Scooby Gang in scenarios where movement equals action. You’ll plan out character moves ahead of time then hit go to watch it all unfold. Devastating character combos provide plenty of combat choices, from knockbacks into oncoming attacks, to more traditional buffs and wards. Just, don’t let the demons overrun your back line or the apocalypse truly will be here to stay.

While Demonschool sits at the altar of 70’s horror, we’re getting a few distinct vampire slayer vibes too. If, like us, you’re excited to see what crawls out of gym class, then head over to the official website to find out more.
