CD Projekt Red has announced that the fifth expansion for its PC and mobile card game, Gwent, will be released on June 30, 2020. Called Master Mirror, the expansion will add over 70 new cards to the game all themed around the “shadowy, powerful influence of Gaunter O’Dimm, Master Mirror himself, and his role in key events in the Continent’s history”.
Among the new cards, players will find:
- the new Legendary card type
- faction-specific cards
- 11 neutral cards that can be used across all factions
- new statuses and abilities are introduced
Legendary card types bring a new facet to gameplay as they evolve over the course of every battle. Throughout the fight, these Legendary cards change in both appearance and power.
“In anticipation of the upcoming release, a number of Master Mirror pre-order offers have been added to the GWENT in-game store. These packs will grant players access to new cards from the expansion upon its release, with a unique Gaunter O’Dimm leader skin, as well as a Master Mirror-inspired cardback and title also available in specific packs — ready to equip in-game immediately following purchase.”
