Developer Blizzard Entertainment rolled out a new hotfix for MOBA Heroes of the Storm, currently available on the public test realm (PTR). The fixes address many of the reported problems with heroes, talents, cooldown reductions and more. The two characters that have seen the biggest changes are D.Va and Sylvanas.
When it comes to the ex-Warchief and the Dark Lady, multiple abilities and talents were receiving the bonus damage from various buffs and effects prior to the abilities actually dealing damage. Effectively, it resulted in Sylvanas doing more damage than intended as her abilities were almost always considered buffed.
We want to also extend our gratitude to our dedicated community in helping test, report and provide feedback for all these bug fixes.
More general changes affect certain Mounts and the ARAM game mode:
Mount
- Fixed an issue that prevented the Robin Woodland Guardian Mount from being usable.
- Fixed an issue that prevented the Tangerine Woodland Guardian Mount from being usable.
ARAM
- Reduced the chance of everyone being forced to select the same Hero from 5% to 2%.
About Heroes of the Storm:
Heroes of the Storm is Blizzard’s entry into the MOBA genre. Players are able to choose from a roster of heroes coming from various titles of the company, including but not limited to Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo.
Last year the company moved Heroes of the Storm into a maintenance mode, affirming that the game has no more active development. The servers will remain operational with the seasonal rolls and hero rotations. Future patches will primarily focus on client sustainability and bug fixing, with balance updates coming as needed.
