Jurassic World Evolution 2 Receives the Late Cretaceous Pack DLC

Jurassic World Evolution 2 Late Cretaceous Pack

Frontier Developments has announced that the latest Jurassic World Evolution 2 DLC has been released. Players across all available platforms can purchase the Late Cretaceous Pack. It is available for $7.99 for PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The DLC offers players new critters for their dinosaur-themed park as well as new placeables and more.

Inspired by the fascinating Late Cretaceous period, our latest Pack includes four new species that roamed the land, sea and air over 65 million years ago, including both a stealthy hunter of the skies and one of the largest dinosaurs ever discovered.

Budding park managers will have four new dinosaurs to put on display as part of the DLC:

  • Barbaridacylus is named after the Barbary Coast of North Africa. It has a distinctive head crest and will fit nicely into any of the park’s aviaries.
  • Alamosaurus is one of the biggest dinosaurs ever discovered. It’s an herbivore but has large spines along its back. This keeps it safe from other dinosaurs and will be sure to attract plenty of visitors.
  • Australovenator lived nearly 95 million years ago. It is an agile carnivore that allows it to move quickly. Add in sharp teeth and flexible arms, and there’s a dino to be reckoned with.
  • Styxosaurus is an underwater predator that is incredibly fast.

Alongside the paid DLC, the development team also released a free update that brings new features into the game. These include lagoon customization options such as new placeable objects both above and below the waterline. In addition, park managers will have more realistic experiences to keep them busy. Escaped flying reptiles will be able to damage nearby helicopters. There are also a number of quality-of-life updates.
