Kingdom Under Fire 2 is almost upon us and publisher Gameforge has unleashed a brand new trailer to keep us ready for the 14 November release.
In an effort to better showcase what players can expect from developer Blueside’s attack on western fronts, the brand new Kingdom Under Fire 2 trailer is a showcase of the game’s combat. Featuring a glimpse of the troops you can expect to encounter and the tactics they will employ, the latest peek into the world of Kingdom Under Fire 2 gives us the best look yet at the pointy end of the sword. There are over 80 different troop types to choose from in this MMO RTS hybrid, the trailer already packs in a ton of variety. Orcs, Elves, Human warriors, a huge battle scorpion, mages, and wizards are just some of the troops we spotted in one and a half minutes of intense action. Yes, a giant battle scorpion!

Gameforge has a more detailed rundown of the units we spotted over on the official website but the trailer isn’t just about the different warriors. It shows off a variety of different environments, from bases to open areas of combat, and gives us a glimpse of the combat control systems. Players who enter into battle in Kingdom Under Fire 2 will build an army to bring with them. Commanding officers will need to choose their tactics wisely as they move troops around the battlefield and try to complete objectives all while crushing their opponents with their own player characters.
For those of you that didn’t catch our earlier announcements, Kingdom Under Fire 2 is an MMORPG – RTS hybrid that is due out on PC very soon. Originally announced back in 2008, it allows players to take control of a commanding character and pick a particular faction. Once in command, players can fight for the fate of the Human Alliance, Dark Legion, and Encablossians. They will compete for control over the land of Bersia using a range of classes, cannon fodder, and classic tactics. Not only is this an RTS, but it also has a fully-fledged MMO system baked in with customizable characters, a range of player classes, and cool looking cosmetics.
