Warner Bros. Games has announced that over 20 million players have tried out MultiVerse during open beta testing since it began on July 26th. Popular with testers from the start, even more joined the fray after the launch of Season 1 on August 15th. Open beta testing is a free download for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Full cross-platform and cross-play support is included.
Season 1 expands the base game with all-new characters, new game modes, and a brand new Battle Pass that allows players to earn in-game rewards. With each season, players will find new content added including new characters such as Morty Smith from Rick & Morty which is coming on August 23rd. Characters currently in the 2v2 title include Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Shaggy, Velma, Bugs Bunny, Taz, Arya Stark, Tom & Jerry, Jack the Dog, Finn the Human, Steven Universe, Garnet, Iron Gian, LeBron James, and an original character named Reindog. Over the coming months, developers plan to release Black Adam (DC), Stripe (Gremlins), Rick Sanchez (Rick & Morty), and others from the pantheon of Warner Bros. stars.
