Night School Studios has announced that its narrative adventure game Oxenfree is now available for mobile devices. The game can be downloaded via Netflix for both iOS and Android mobile devices, and it comes without ads or in-app purchases. The Netflix version of the game offers players new localization support in over 30 languages.
Originally released in 2016, the game is making a reappearance via Netflix to entice a new crop of players to discover its appeal.It puts players in the role of Alex, a rebellious teen who arrives on Edwards Island with her brother. The abandoned military island is filled with mystery, including an otherworldly rift. This rift is tied to the island’s past and it’s up to players to discover the mysteries behind it.
Alex’s story unfolds when players make choices in the game. Each one has an impact on how things play out, particularly in the critical dialogue choices. There’s a lot going on beneath the surface. It’s up to Alex to get the whole story of Edwards Island and change it forever, both past and future.
