Previous week Alexandre Remy has shared the company’s plans on fighting in-game toxicity in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. The short-term plans included increasing the capabilities of the report tool, and it already has a new “Report Toxic Behavior” button on the TTS servers of the game. It is possible that at one time it will also include friendly fire done on purpose.
We have a lot of ideas and we are thinking about how we can tackle teamkills. It depends on your place and your experience as a Rainbow Six Siege player, in fact I think it was with that I mentioned we are thinking about potentially removing friendly fire. I think that would resolve a lot of issues and for entry players I think it is a very good way of avoiding those behaviours. Starting next year, we need to start fixing toxicity.

More info will come out later on how this works, but there will not be automatic ban sanctions. So no one will get trolled into a ban.
