Snacko Launches An Utterly Adorable Kickstarter

Get ready to gush at the sight of Snacko, a wholesome slice of adventure that just hit Kickstarter.

If you’ve given up waiting for Redd to swing by and visit and happen to be busy counting the days until Story of Seasons arrives then there’s a new Kickstarter campaign that you probably want to see. Your wallet won’t find it as unassumingly innocent, but we cashed out hard on turnips. Publisher Armor Games Studios and developer Bluecurse Studios kicked off this crowdfunding campaign with a brand new trailer today to give potential fans of the upcoming Stardew-like sim a taste of what’s in store.

Collect, Craft, Cute

Players got a glimpse of the teaser trailer for Snacko during today’s Wholesome Direct 2020, a new straight to players indie showcase featuring the like of Ooblets, Little Witch in the Woods, and Garden Story. Among the upbeat antics of the 50+ games on offer, Snacko puts players in the paws of Momo and her best friend Mikan as they arrive on a deserted island. This mysterious landfall might make a wonderful new home if they can rebuild the island from scratch. With help, they will grow crops, take care of animals, go fishing, and more, while choosing who to invite to help populate your budding village, and maybe discover the secrets of the island’s past along the way. Like any great Story, you’ll have plenty of time to get to know the locals and decorate each new abode that is custom built with your own paws. All of this without even the need for opposable thumbs.

The playful presentation from earlier today should give potential backers an idea of what to expect if they back this new venture. Taking inspiration from Rune Factory, Story of Seasons and The Legend of Zelda series, Snacko isn’t shy about its aim. If you get past the cute mix of pixel art and 3D animation, building systems, and the cute kitten then you can pledge for a copy of Snacko for as little as $20.
