The Despot Franchise is about to get a bit messy with the news that Slime 3K: Rise Against Despot has a demo and an upcoming Early Access launch soon.
Forget that one time you got reincarnated, just load up this free demo to become an all-conquering slime lord. The Despot roguelike franchise is set to get a tad chaotic with the news that Slime 3K: Rise Against Despot will jsut dropped a demo on and will hit Early Access on 2 November 2023. Coming to cover your PC in gloop, this title from developer Kofa games and TinyBuild takes the tradition of survival rouges, like Vampire Survivors, and gets gooey. Set in the same universe as the cynical, dystopian Despot’s Game, Despotism 3K, this certainly isn’t what we were expecting.
Players slipping into this dungeon will need to build a deck of crazy weapons, grow stronger, and devour massive hordes of enemies as a murderous sentient jelly blob. Get revenge on your creator while slipping through a maddening roguelike bullet hell experience. The deck building system might drop in projectile acid or an AK-47. Why not? Exploding watermelons sit alongside zombie, because reasons. I’m not going to pretend that I understand how this all fits together, but it’s likely to make for some interesting combat as you devour everything in your path.
Slime 3K: Rise Against Despot debuts on Steam Early Access for Windows PC on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023. It will support English, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain), Japanese, Korean, Traditional and Simplified Chinese languages.
