Tilting Point and Nukebox Studios alongside Nickelodeon have announced that SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-Off has been updated to bring an entirely new location to the popular mobile title. The new comic book-themed world is called New Kelp City where players can head to the Last Chance Coffee restaurant and interact with “familiar heroes” including Mermaid Man. Tasty delectables include caffeinated drinks and pastries. Think Starbuck’s under the sea!
Players will be able to adventure through New Kelp City with some of their favorite characters in order to unlock their superpowers “with new comic book-inspired looks from the show”.
The new update builds on all of the game’s main features including:
- fun, fast-paced cooking
- the ability to explore the well-known SpongeBob world
- the fun of upgrading and decorating restaurants
- collecting and customizing favorite characters
- a fun and engaging storyline
- limited time events
- free to play with in-app purchases
