The first LG gaming to roll off the production line will arrive in 2022, and the LG 17G90Q comes loaded with some incredible specifications.

LG might be better known for its range of display options, but just like AOC and Powercolor this monitor mainstay is branching out. The electronics giant has confirmed that its very first gaming laptop will arrive during the first quarter of 2022 and comes packed with an 11th Gen Intel® Tiger Lake H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q graphics card. If that didn’t get your attention then the new 17G90Q, which slots into LG’s Ultragear range of devices, also adds a 17-inch IPS panel, with a 1ms response time and a ridiculously fast 300Mhz refresh rate, all to ensure that gameplay is as smooth as possible. As with any new hardware announcement, the full specifications are listed below:

While this is a lot to cram into any case, initial impressions of the LG 17G90Q make it look more like an LG Gram than an oversized Alienware. Despite taking up no more than 0.84 inches of girth, LG suggests this shouldn’t be a problem for cooling thanks to an internal vapor chamber.

We don’t have the numbers to confirm that or the final price point either, but Lg will be running down all the details on a CES2022 stream. You can catch it at 8 AM PST on 4 January 2022 via official channels, or wait until it arrives in stores to take a look next year.
