The AMD Radeon 660XT is out and it seems Powercolor has plenty of options for anybody in the market for a graphics card today.
After AMD unveiled the RX 6600XT, long term board partner Powercolor is ready to drop a new lineup of these 1080p focused graphics cards today. The latest lineup of cards should bring high refresh rates, modern technological advances, and a smooth experience for gamers who don’t need to go beyond 1920 by 1080 on their desktop.
Red Devil
Powercolor’s top-end RX 6600XT card is the Red Devil card. Playing on the firm’s existing branding approach, the Red Devil is something of a follow on from the current Red Devil RX 6000 series of cards. It comes in a 2.5 card slot format, with a dual-fan cooler on top. Plenty of RGB lighting means this can be customized to look as shiny as possible, while performance is backed up by the RDNA 2 design, 8 GB GDDR6 RAM and a boost clock speed of up to 2607 Mhz when in OC mode.
Hellhound RX 6600XT
The Hellhound is a cooler variation on the Red Devil lineup of cars, coming in a slightly slimmer format and with a different set of blowers atop it. The 2.2 slot dual fan design comes with a noticeably bigger pair of fans to provide plenty of cooling while this card gets up to 2593 Mhz. The dual 100mm fans still support an RDNA 2 card with 8GB GDDR6 Ram but variations in speed, VRM components and power requirements make this something of a balance between power, cost, and efficiency.
Fighter RX 6600XT
The baby of this bunch of new cards, the Fighter provides a less flamboyant design, packing the expected RDNA 2 card, 32 compute units, 8 GB GDDR6 Ram all in an even smaller 2 slot system. At its top-end clock boost, the Fighter can still manage 2589Mhz and will take up just one 8 pin PCI-E connector in any budget gaming rig. Starting at $379, this might seem like its almost as costly as a Playstation 5 or Zbozz Series X, but graphics cards are expensive these days and the RX 6600 XT series might very well be the refresh that makes the most sense for gamers still sitting with a 1080p monitor on their desktop.
