Get on the go and play with 144Hz of IPS display with the new AOC Gaming 16G3.
AOC has just announced a new breed of monitor in its gaming range. The hardware manufacturer has announced the new 16G3 that takes AOC Gaming monitors on the go. This portable gaming grade display packs in 144Hz, a 4ms response time, Adaptive-Syn tech, and a punchy IPS panel in a lightweight chassis.
That chassis features a stylized set of red and black accents, with a built-in kickstand to make it useful anywhere. The entire body should slide into most backpacks at 11.5 mm thin and less than 1.1 kg of weight. There won’t be any need for a separate power brick, with USB-C connections doing the job of keeping the display online. Even outdoor gaming doesn’t look like it will be much of a problem. The 250 cd/m² brightness and 1000:1 contrast should show up even in summer, while there’s still plenty of connectivity nestled around the edges. A micro-HDMI port provides plenty of console capability, while one of the two USB-C ports incorporates DisplayPort Alt Mode and power unit.
The AOC Gaming 16G3 might not be a gaming notebook, but wherever you take your Switch, it’s 15.6 inches is sure to be better than cramming four friends round a miniscule display.
