V Rising Uncovers the Secrets of Gloomrot

Secrets of Gloomrot is the brand new content update for V Rising, and it’s available now on PC.

Rise, survive, and prosper as a creature of the night. Take on new challenges and vanquish the living in a new biome, thanks to the Secrets of Gloomrot update. V Rising got its first major update since this vampire survival experience dropped into Early Access last year. Now, over 3 million of the undead can venture into a new biome to check out everything on offer.

For those that just want a feel for the free update, you can check out the trailer above and then jump straight in. For the rest of you who have been waiting since the initial announcement in March on the download, prepare to leap into the harrowing biome of Gloomrot. This huge new zone includes two distinct regions, but don’t expect green meadows and unkempt forests. This part of the world is a twisted wreck, thanks to the pursuit of sinister science. This is just one of several revamps to the already sprawling area of Vardoran, that also includes new items, enemy types, combat options, and gameplay features.
Combat has tweaked to add an ascended spell system. This will make each spell feel utterly unique and even conjures a new Storm magic. You’ll need it for all the new content. 30 new enemy types roam the land, and 13 new V Blood bosses can be found and fought. Defeat them in epic showdowns so that you can drink their blood to gain their knowledge and abilities. Once all that is over, you can check out the huge multi-level castles that provide a powerful base, tons of options for enhancing your power, and a chance to decorate maybe?

V Rising has been an undeniably popular vampire adventure since it made headlines last year. Spawning with nothing but some sharp fangs, players taking up the challenge must build an army, fend off the locals, and try not to end up on the end of Mr. Pointy. Check out V Rising and the latest update on the official Steam Store page now.
