If you’re a fan of mobile eSports, you’ll want to check out the 2017 Vainglory World Championships. Super Evil Megacorp has just announced that the event is headed to Singapore in December.

From the press announcement:
As part of that celebration, the World Championships will include keynote speeches from the developers at Super Evil Megacorp, including the first showcase match of the game’s upcoming 5v5 mode. Viewers can catch the showmatch before the grand finals, played live on stage at Vainglory Worlds.
North America’s Cloud9 storms into Worlds with a heap of momentum following decisive wins at both of the Unified Spring Championships in London and Summer Championships in Los Angeles. But Cloud9’s road to Worlds won’t faze a Southeast Asian bracket full of fierce competitors, including Rox Armada, a team made up of members that won the inaugural World Championship last year and are looking to repeat the win.
“This year, we have taken a new approach to our training and that preparation has paid off with consecutive live championships in Spring and Summer,” said Ian Huston, manager of Cloud9. “We are honored to be competing against the best international teams and we cannot wait to show the world what we have planned.”
A European team has yet to secure a spot, but the field of competitors is still being drawn as the next event kicks off on September 22nd from the ESL Studios in Burbank. It will decide if a European team, like London-based esports giants Fnatic make the trip to Singapore or if last year’s runner-up Team SoloMid will get another shot at title of World Champions.
Tickets are free for the event. You can check this site to find out how to get one!
To keep up with the action or for fans unable to attend the event, Worlds will be streamed live on Twitch.TV and YouTube channels. The game is available as a free download from the Apple App Store, Google Play and the Amazon Appstore. To find out more about the World Championship check out the Esports page.
