Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Launch Takes On Chaos In September 2022

Fatshark has confirmed that Warhammer 40,00: Darktide is about to plunge us all face first into combat when it launches on 13 September 2022.

The hotly anticipated follow up to the Warhammer Vermintide games is set to land on PCs and Xbox platforms later this year. Fatshark, has announced that it is taking the 4-player co-op concept that worked so well in the past and pushing it all the way into the 41st Millenium, when Darktide arrives 13 September 2022. Due to cause carnage on PC and Xbox Series S|X, this new title is yet another takes on a beloved Games Workshop property but with a few twists that might make you squirm.

This time around open fields or pleasant town squares does not await gallant heroes of the empire. Instead, Darktide marches straight into the hive city of Tertium. In between the crammed corridors and dark dead ends, anybody stupid enough to keep trudging forward will find hordes of nightmarish enemies. Visceral clashes between Imperium and Chaos factions mean even experienced zealots will need to be on guard. Picking through the masses of incoming cannon fodder, players will need to mix and match a range of FPS and melee skills if they hope to make it out alive, and for what little we have seen that is a messy proposition.

Fatshark also dropped a trailer to give players a glimpse of what’s coming in a few tens of Millenia. Mark your calendars for the return of a hugely popular series, and one of the better Warhammer series we’ve seen. Find out more on the official Darktide Steam page now.
