Wobbledogs is about to bound out of early access and into your life when this hyperactive mutant pet simulator makes its way to Steam on 15 March.
Designed to make your next canine companion look like a cross between a fondant fancie and Clifford, Wobbledogs looks to be the pet simulator you didn’t know you ever needed, Designed by indie publisher Secret Mode and the delightful developers at Animal Uprising, this new title from the Dear Esther stable is in a kennel of its very own.
Coming to PC via Steam, this new tale of waggery and mischief allows players to build their very own pack of odd-looking doggos. Hatched from eggs and simulated all the way to their guts, this sandbox sim starts with relatively recognizable mutts, until things start to mutate. Given time, the hatchlings change in several ways, resulting in different behavior and evolutionary lines. As you dabble in a bit of genetic tinkering there is still an opportunity to meet the kids, as Wobbledogs provides bright backdrops to the customizable dog dens, an anti-gravity machine, ghostly hauntings, and more.
What reads like a straightforward generational sim is best seen to be experienced. its bright colors and unusual ideas are described by developer Secret Mode.
“Wobbledogs is a funky and wonderful pet simulation like nothing you’ve ever played before,” said James Schall, Director of Publishing at Secret Mode. “It’s colorful, it’s creative and utterly crazy. Dogs are simulated right down to the guts, meaning players can create their own versions of wobbly canine (im)perfection and create the perfect home for their dogs to explore. And yes, in case you were wondering: you can pet the dog!”
If you’re ready to pet the dog before they evolve the ability to do that themselves too, head over to the official Steam Store page to find out more before Wobbledogs charms us into giving treats on 15 march.
