Developer Blizzard Entertainment has taken to the official site of MMORPG World of Warcraft to overview accessibility updates coming in Dragonflight as well as bring players up to speed when it comes to the story of the Dragon Aspects.
In Dragonflight, players can enjoy the updated UI and HUD options that provide a clutter-free layout that can be further customized for each player’s individual needs. You can find the details here.
Dragonflight also offers new talent trees reminiscent of the Wrath of the Lich King ones. Now players have more freedom to experiment and more options to choose from than ever before. Additionally, the system has been expanded to include Loadouts, the Search Bar, and Importing and Sharing talent builds.
The previous “Interface” and “System” menus have been combined into the more intuitive “Options” menu. This update allows you to find various Accessibility options more easily. New options include Field of Vision (FoV) reduction as well as Press and Hold Casting – the latter allows you to press and hold a keyboard hotkey to continually cast a spell on an Action Bar without having to repeatedly press the button.
Other new gameplay options include:
- Dracthyr Empowered Casting
- New Feature: Interact Key
- New Action Targeting System
- New Option: Display Name Size Adjustment
- Gamepad API Support Improvements
- Dragonriding: Ride Along
- Dragonriding: FOV Effects
- Dragonriding: Full Screen Effects
On the lore side of things, Blizzard shared a quick overview of the entire story of the Dragon Aspects and their respective Dragonflights and what they were up to from the moment of the Rise of the Aspects through Legion. If you wanted to learn more about Alexstrasza, Nozdormu, Neltharion, Malygos and Ysera, you will have a great time with the article.
The youngest among the dragon leaders, Wration, also received a short story titled “The Vow Eternal”. You can find it here.
