Dual Universe Launches And Lands On Steam

Dual Universe

Dual Universe, the massive free form Sci-Fi MMO, launches on PC with a new appearance on Steam.

Dual Universe blasts off onto PC today. Players eager to get into the cosmos and experience everything that this massive online multiplayer has to offer can grab a copy of the expansive new title on Steam, GeForce Now, and via the official website.

After initially running a series of pre-release trials and tests today marks the culmination of a long road to launch for the developers Novaquark. Way back in the before times, developer Novaquark unveiled an interesting concept. This sci-fi MMORPG didn’t plan to just drop players into the void. It was ready to give players all the tools to craft a vast intergalactic empire in their own image. From carving ore out the ground to programming in game computer consoles. The ambition of this upcoming MMO caught my attention as far back as Gamescom 2018. Now you can be whoever you want in a future that seems far more certain than that of Starfield or Star Citizen.

“Dual Universe was made with a variety of players in mind. They can choose to travel through the cosmos alone or team up to build alliances, cultivate markets, wage wars and negotiate peace,” adds Cyrille Fontaine, Creative Director at Novaquark. “The fabric of Helios will always be in flux due to the choices of its intrepid explorers, plunderers, miners, and pioneers. It is the ultimate sandbox. We’re more excited than ever to deliver an experience that lives up to the game’s incredible potential.”

A massive range of voxel-based tools have already resulted in racetrack, functional industrial automation, starships, and gorgeous art installations. Whether you mine a new world for all it’s worth, head out into the cosmos to explore, or become a cog in the wheel of a vast imperium is entirely up to you. With Earth now long gone and a new society ready to bloom, Dual Universe is a chance to be whatever you want.

Players looking to join the Dual Universe community in this new venture can find a free trial on Steam. Returning veterans can take up a free two-week long opportunity to come back and see the improvements of the game for themselves, while all players with an active subscription will have access to a Talent Point (XP) booster for the first six months after release. Check out more on the official website and via Steam now.

For those of you who I’ve not met yet, my name is Ed. After an early indoctrination into PC gaming, years adrift on the unwashed internet, running a successful guild, and testing video games, I turned my hand to writing about them. Now, you will find me squawking across a multitude of sites and even getting to play games now and then
