1000xRESIST is coming to PC and Nintendo Switch in Q1 2024
An interesting indie narrative adventure that mixes existential questions with surreal visuals in a sci-fi dystopia is coming to PC and Nintendo Switch in Q1 2024. Developer sunset visitor 斜陽過客 announced that the title will drop on both platforms but hasn’t confirmed a definitive date yet. The new adventure will be published by narrative games label Fellow Traveller, and we got a new trailer for this intriguing new journey.
Anybody picking up 1000xRESIST will leap forward to a far future, where humanity has been all but extinguished by a mysterious disease spread by aliens. Now, all that is left is a society of clones, all bred from one survivor and immortal being known as the ALLMOTHER. Players will find themselves in the role of a Watcher, the Sister who has the great privilege of reliving and interpreting the memories of the ALLMOTHER through a process known as Communion. As you embark upon your first Communion, your commitment to your duty is resolute and steadfast… until your closest sister, Fixer, comes to you with a dangerous revelation. You have been lied to. The ALLMOTHER is not what she claims to be.
While plenty of laudable indie narrative games are lined up to launch all the time, this one is worth keeping an eye on. Aside from the neon visuals and cool aesthetic, there’s a lot more to this adventure than first meets the eye. It draws on a range of inspiration from games to anime, cinema and theatre that delves into over 15,000 lines of fully voiced dialogue. This is one of those games where you’ll be best placed to watch the trailer and then head over to the official website to take on the future in 1000xRESIST.
