Apex Legends just dropped a brand-new trailer introducing new hero Conduit.
Sorry no Titanfall 3 this time. The team behind hero focused arena shooter Apex Legends just introduced a new hero with the Ignite trailer. Tuneful new intro dropped last night and gives us a glimpse of Conduit a hero that comes with some unique capabilities. Wielding the remnants of a powerful Titan ‘Monarch’ this youngster might not be as long in the tooth as some of the title’s other characters but should be more than capable of holding off incoming fire.
The new trailer doesn’t include in game footage, but rather gives us a glimpse of the character personality and potential in game skills. Born Rowenna Valentina Coffey Divina, Conduit is an upbeat personality full of youthful confidence, and even strikes up a musical number mid trailer. It’s all very nod and wink, with some obvious references to Iron Man, Disney, and even League’s own musical numbers too.
We haven’t been given a ton more detail on the specifics, although it looks likely they seem to provide some powerful support and shielded capabilities. Conduit has harnessed some impressive gear but it comes from an irradiated quarantine zone. Check out the creeping glow near the end of the teaser. We expect that to be meaningful when things hit the ground on 31 October. Conduit is the latest in a long line of faces to join the Apex Legends roster, giving us a whole heap of new playstyles and a new story to tell. Apex continues to be one of our go to games for free to play arena action when kicking back or testing out new headsets. You can find out more about Conduit’s arrival before the Ignite launch on 31 October 2023. Head to the website to shoot into Apex across PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo platforms.
