If you’re a fan of Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece and would love to see what each was like back in the day, you can look no further than the Assassin’s Creed “Discovery” editions for both Origins and Odyssey. Both can be downloaded free of charge using Ubisoft’s Uplay launcher.
Discovery Tour: Ancient Egypt and Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece are standalone versions of the larger RPGs, Assassin’s Creed: Origins and Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey. The difference is that the Discovery Tour editions are educational and allow players to take a number of “tours” through the historical settings as reimagined by Ubisoft developers. Interestingly, both games had archaeologists on staff as advisors to keep the locations and cultural icons of each age as close to what is real as possible.
If you’re still under stay-at-home orders, this may be a great time to jump into one or both of these amazing experiences. You can download each via the Uplay launcher for PC through May 21st.
