Blazblue, the iconic 2D fighting series finally got my attention last year when it brought RWBY into battle during Blazblue Cross Tag Battle. Now, it looks like I’ll be back in the arena as Arc System Works launches Blazblue Centralfiction Special Edition on Nintendo Switch.
For those of you not versed in the blistering beat em up from Japan, Blazblue first made its audition in arcades during 2008. Since the arrival of Blazblue: Calamity Trigger, several iterations have made it onto home consoles and shifted millions of copies across the globe. Now, Blazblue: Centralfiction will continue the legacy forged by these forerunners.
Set after the events of Blazblue: Chrono Phantasma, this installment of the franchise acts as an ending to the long-running Azure Saga and resolves some mysteries that still remain unsolved after all these years. It marks the final game that Ragna, the white-haired warrior and wielder of the Azure Grimoire weapon, will front for Blazblue. So, what can we expect from Blazblue: Centralfiction. Anybody picking up the Nintendo Switch edition of this game will find the same game featured in the ArcREVO World Tournament. It also includes all of the following:
Blazblue Centralfiction full game
• All Blazblue Centralfiction DLC Characters
◦ Es
◦ Susanoo
◦ Mai Natsume
◦ Jubei
• System Voices DLC
• Additional Character Colors DLC
◦ Including some additional colors exclusive to this Special Edition!
For anybody eager to finish the Azure arc, Blazblue: Centralfiction special edition is out now on the Nintendo eShop for $49.99.
