Hooded horse has announced a Breachway delay that will see the gorgeous sci-fi roguelike arrive in Summer 2024.
February 2024’s Stream next Fest launched a whole host of amazing indie titles into our watchlist, including Breachway. The incoming sci-fi space strategy immediately took out attention with it’s striking aesthetic and turn based strategy. Unfortunately, the developers at Edgeflow Studio aren’t going to stick the landing for its early access entry. Instead, those of us waiting for it to blast into PC early access will have to wait until July 2024.
The new delay isn’t particularly long. You’d hardly make it half an AU at the same time. The marginal shift, in cosmic terms at least, will provide extra time for the developers to add additional features, polish existing ones, and ensure the initial launch offering is as strong as it can be.
For those that missed the Steam Next Fest Demo, breachway challenges players to explore the galaxy. Building a crew and outfitting a ship, players will build a deck of powerful upgrades and utilities as they head out into the unknown. While you search for the Signal, you’ll engage pirates, interact with six unique factions, grapple with morally dubious situations, and more possibilities. Borrowing ideas from deck builders and roguelike adventures, this isn’t quite FTL, or much like many spaces faring strategies we’ve seen. You can find out more about Breachway over on the official Steam Store now, or wait until it makes early access on PC, across Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store in 2024
