Cake Bash is just about ready to serve up some sweet sweet action as publisher Coatsink announce that the upcoming title will drop a demo on 16 June.

Get ready to be whisked away and you beat your friends as publisher Coatsink and developer High Tea Frog add their upcoming multiplayer cake fest to the currant line up of doughlicicous entries in the upcoming Steam Summer Game Festival. Now I’ve got my puns out the way, anybody interested in a frantic battle to see what sweet can be the most violent can head over to the official Cake bash Steam Store page on the 16 June and pick up a new demo for the title from 10am PDT on the day.

Be The Best Pie-ugilist

The latest demo will pit players against each other in a variety of arenas from the shrinking cake of Fork Knife: Gateau Royale to Sweet Victory or Fruity Pie. Each game mode comes with its own outrageous aim, from covering yourself in sweets to chucking the most crust into a pie. A selection of arenas are also available so please watch out for the pigeon that is set to swoop in and ruin your game. As you’d expect for a multiplayer title, this demo also allows players to tackle up to 3 other friends across the 4 game modes and extra mini games on offer in the Cake Bash demo.

The Steam Summer Festival is just one of many attempts to replace the in person convention scene that has been curtailed of late with Steam Describing the online experience as follows;

“The Steam Game Festival is an event that shines a spotlight on games set to be released within the next year. From June 9th – 14th, check out upcoming releases, try them out with time-limited demos or short playable experiences, connect with the developers behind the games, and add games to your wishlist for a reminder when they release!”

For those of you that haven’t heard of Cake Bash quite yet then head over to the official Steam Store page to check out the detail surrounding this multiplayer arena battler that isn’t too far removed from silly physics beat em ups like gang Beasts, with all the delicious appetisers you could expect from Overcooked. Cake Bash is due to serve up on Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC later this year.
