Commandos 2 and Praetorians HD Remasters Are Coming In 2020

Commandos 2 and Praetorians, the iconic strategy titles originally published in the early 2000s are getting ready for an HD Remaster on 24 Jan 2020.

Thanks to developers Yippee! Entertainment and Torus Games, players who remember their first tour of duty with the original releases will be able to relive the experience in full high def glory with Commandos 2 HD Remaster and Praetorians HD Remaster. Both of these games will open their attack on PC with PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Mac and Linux versions to follow in Spring 2020. Even better, fans who pick up either game on the publisher storefront will get access to an early beta, beginning on 13 December.

Commandos 2

Originally opening fire in 2001, this Eidos published strategy put players in command of an elite group of allied commandos. These soldiers are tasked with taking the fight to the enemy on their own turf. Venturing far behind the front lines, they utilize their skills to complete a series of demandingly difficult missions and cause havoc to enemy operations. Featuring a range of deadly operatives, a classic WWII setting, and explosions, the remaster of this version of Commandos 2 looks like a fantastic return to an old friend.

The Praetorians

The Praetorians – HD Remaster, leads the emerging Roman Empire by proving a legionnaire’s worth on the battlefields of Egypt, the combat theatres of Gaul, and the heart of the Roman Empire in Italy, in a crusade to become Emperor. Combine units, master their varied skillsets and exploit the weaknesses of the enemy to emerge victorious.

Both the upcoming beta titles will kick off on 13 December and provide players access to a tutorial and a quick glimpse of the game’s campaign. To grab either Commandos 2 HD remaster, Praetorians HD Remastered, or a special discounted double pack you can head over to the Kalypso online store now. Alternatively, check out the trailer for the return of Commandos 2 above and let loose a few grenades of your own on 24 Jan 2020.
