Gameloft developers recently went on the air with a huge Disney Dreamlight Valley Showcase extravaganza. During the recorded event, the team spent time discussing big things coming to everyone’s favorite Disney game, literally packed with favorite characters and locations from beloved Disney classics. Most notably, the dev team announced A Rift In Time, an upcoming paid expansion that will bring some of the most requested characters into the game. Let’s see what else they had to say.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Showcase Announcements
- A Rift in Time will launch on December 5 alongside a free content update for all players. The expansion, which has yet to be priced, will unfold across three new biomes and three new acts. When launch day arrives, players will find several new characters, including Gaston, Rapunzel, and EVE. New biomes include Ancient’s Landing, the Glittering Dunes, and the Wild Tangle. In addition, players will discover the time-manipulating Royal Hourglass tool, meet new animal companions, and unveil Ancient Machines that help players automate everyday tasks. A new in-game board game will also be part of the expansion. Called “Scramblecoin,” players will take on Disney and Pixar villagers to collect figurines with unique powers. Collect the most coins to win. This, of course, unlocks friendship levels and better figurines.
- The free update is called The Pumpkin King Returns and marks the arrival of Jack Skellington. It also brings along a new Star Path with iconic Winter Disney Princess appearances, a new multiplayer feature that allows up to four players to visit one another’s Valleys.
- In 2024, players can look forward to seeing new characters arrive in the Valley, including Mikey & Sulley and Tiana by midyear. In addition, players can look forward to “other surprises, Villagers, Realms, and Star Path seasons.”
- The Disney Dreamlight Valley Arcade Edition will launch on Apple Arcade on December 5th with all the content released so far. However, there will be no Star Path or Premium Shop available in this version.
- Lastly, the OST for DDV is available on Spotify, Amazon Music Unlimited, Apple Music, and Pandora.
