Behaviour Interactive, HBO and GAEA have announced a new cooperative effort for Game of Thrones Beyond the Wall. The new game is described as a “mobile collectible strategy RPG game”. The plan is to release the game in 2019 for both iOS and Android mobile devices. So you’d better get that download speed tested ASAP, if you want to be prepared!
During Game of Thrones Beyond the Wall, players will find a story set “a few decades” ahead of the events of the hit HBO series. Players take command of a Night’s Watch castle and work to protect Westeros. The goal is to recruit characters from the Seven Kingdoms and beyond.
“Players will also find an in-game interface that uses the mysterious powers of the Weirwood Trees to move through history and visit key moments in time.” By doing so, players can collect costumed versions of Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Jaime Lannister, Melisandre and Tormund Giantsbane. These characters can then be used in all game modes including combat.
The official site is up and running. Fans and interested players can pre-register for the game. Doing so will net bonus characters and items when the game launches. In addition, those who pre-register will be kept “in the know” about development and other game updates.
