Genshin Impact – Check Out Arlecchino Animated Short ‘The Song Burning in the Embers’

As Genshin Impact Version 4.6 and the debut of The Knave approach, players learn more and more about the mysterious Harbinger. HoYoverse shared a whopping 7-minute long Arlecchino animated short titled ‘The Song Burning in the Embers’ to shed some light on her past.

Not only do we get to see the baby Peruere, the animation also introduces some new characters. Among them, the previous Director of the House of the Hearth, Crucabena, and her daughter Clervie, both of whom played an important role in Arlecchino’s story.

“Some believe that growing up is to gradually break free from the shackles. Fate sets the most brutal rules for us, turning day into night, leaving the future dwelling in but the lingering warmth of dreams. Thus, our weapons clash, burying the remnants of another setting sun, and welcoming the next rising dawn. Then, when the cage shatters, once and for all— May gentle flames envelop the shriveled flowers, with their song echoing in the embers.”

The Arlecchino animated short also shares some new, important lore bits. Not only do viewers learn how things worked in the House of the Hearth under the “Mother”, there are quite a few bits of info about The Knave herself. For one, she is fairly young, since Freminet remembers his time with the previous Director, and Peruere is at most a teenager during the fateful fight. Secondly, her blackened hands are a result of the mysterious curse that also seems to give her powerful Pyro abilities. Let’s hope the character’s Story Quest gives us more info on that front!

ARLECCHINO IN GENSHIN IMPACT VERSION 4.6

Known as The Knave, Arlecchino is the Fourth of the Fatui Harbingers. Additionally, she is the “Father” to the children of the House of the Hearth, including Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet. Her debut arrives with Genshin Impact Version 4.6 on April 24, both as a playable character and as a weekly boss. She is a Pyro Polearm damage dealer that plays through the new Bond of Life mechanic.

As a weekly boss, Arlecchino uses the same mechanics against the players. More of her story will be revealed during the Story Quest “Ignis Purgatorius”. Last but not least, she also took part in the Sumeru and Fontaine animated teasers. You can find both here.
