The King of Destruction is back in Toho Animations second outing for Godzilla. The team behind Godzilla: Planet of Monsters unveiled a teaser poster, pictured below, for the follow-up, City on the Edge of Battle.
City on the Edge of Battle is the second installment in an anime trilogy, that made its way west thanks to Netflix. The second installment in this cgi story is due to hit Japanese theatres on May 18, but shouldn’t take too long to make it to western shores. Anybody who followed part one, directed by Hiroyuki Seshita and Kobun Shizuno, will notice the same returning cast of characters and one giant metal monstrosity looming in the background. Breifly teased in Planet of Monsters, part two will feature an epic battle between Godzilla and the enormous Mecha Godzilla.
If you love Kaiju, adore giant robots, and the latest Pacific Rim isn’t enough then it shouldn’t be too long before City on the Edge of Battle arrives.
