If Leatherface haunts your dreams, Gun Interactive‘s latest Texas Chainsaw Massacre trailer may reinforce your nightmares. The new video surfaced during ID@Xbox earlier this week and it paints a grisly picture of what players will face when the game debuts on August 18th. Players who want to get their adrenaline pumping can preorder the horror game for $39.99. It will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC at launch.
The trailer sets the stage for the asymmetrical horror game. Set in the months before the original 1974 gory film events, the game puts players in the shoes of either a Victim or a member of the Slaughter family. Each group must use its full range of stealth and smarts to “win” the game. Victims will try to “escape their fearsome predators,” while the Slaughters use “brutal and murderous attacks” to hunt their prey.
