THQ Nordic and Nickelodeon have released a brand new trailer to showcase the characters in SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake. Of course, these friendly characters are well-known to the world. Viewers will be treated to a peek at game models for SpongeBob, Patric, Gary, Sandy, Squidward, and more. As these crazy Bikini Bottomites rove through the game world, they are voiced by the cartoon series’ original actors.
A vial of magic Bubble Soap is given to SpongeBob and Patrick by the mysterious fortune teller Kassandra, what could possibly go wrong? They bubble up too many wishes and what seemed like harmless fun turns into a cosmic catastrophe: the very fabric of reality unravels and magical WishWorlds open up everywhere! With many of SpongeBob’s friends being sucked into these strange worlds, your favorite sponge must don various cosmic costumes to travel to the WishWorlds and bring back his friends to restore Bikini Bottom. But beware, Kassandra may not be the helping hand she claims to be…
The Cosmic Shake is being prepared for a January 31st release date and preorders have already begun. Players can purchase one of two editions of the game. The Standard Edition will run $39.99 and all preorders will include the Costume Pack. Later, this same pack will be sold for $9.99. The BFF Edition is a physical edition of the game and retails for $249.99. It offers players a collectible statue, an inflatable Patrick, a BFF amulet necklace, and much more.
