Metal Gear Survive may have had a lackluster first few days, but Konami isn’t deterred. To celebrate the game’s launch, players can pick up a daily login bonus through March 3rd, and Konami has already announced updates coming to the game in March.
With a focus on increasing the difficulty level, players will be able to test their skills with the new Hard Mode for daily and weekly missions along with a new co-op mode – Rescue Mission. Sending your team into enemy territory to aid soldiers in need, Konami says of Rescue Missions, “Compared to Salvage Missions, those missions will require a whole new level of cooperation and team spirit.”
MGS is available on Steam, XBox One, and PS4. For those still straddling the fence, check out our Review In Progress.
From the Konami site:
Metal Gear Survive is a spin-off of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain that integrates MGSV:TPP’s intense gameplay elements into a survival action format. Experience Metal Gear like you never have before with the tension of stealth gameplay, tactics of base defense, and the grueling reality of survival.
Set in a dangerous, ruined world filled with creatures and hazardous mist, your success relies on your ability to read the evolving situation and make strategic choices – placing defensive units, predicting enemy behavior and designing attack patterns.
