DreadXP and Joseph “Akabaka” Hunter have announced that their monstrous dating sim, Sucker for Love: A Date to Die For, has a release date. Players looking for kitschy Lovecraftian horror wrapped in an outlandish story can pick up a copy for PC via Steam starting April 23, 2024. Prepare for a tantalizing blend of abominable love interests, occult rituals, and a whole lot of heartache.
In this eerie tale, the spotlight falls on Stardust, an asexual woman who unwittingly becomes the pursued. Her journey begins with investigating mysterious disappearances in her hometown of Sacramen-Cho. But fate turns dark when she’s kidnapped and trapped deep within the creepy labyrinthian woods. Armed only with a copy of the cultist’s spellbook, she stumbles upon instructions for summoning The Black Goat of the Woods, Rhok’zan. Little does she know that this forbidden ritual will set in motion a different kind of dating novel—one where danger and desire entwine.
