Myria Game Metarush Reaches New Milestone, Closed Demo Testing

Metarush by Myria

Myria, a blockchain game development studio and Ethereum Layer 2 solution, has reached a new milestone in the development of its upcoming game, Metarush.

Myria is hosting exclusive demos for a select number of enthusiastic gamers to provide valuable feedback and improve the game before it reaches beta testing. Only a limited number of demo slots will be available. The players selected can complete a full level of the game before it enters beta testing.

To participate in the Metarush demo, interested gamers can fill out an application form. Their PC needs to meet the game’s minimum requirements, including a dual-core CPU, at least 4GB of VRAM, 16GB of RAM, and Windows 7+. The game does not yet support macOS. Players chosen to participate in the demo will receive an email with information on the next steps to participate.

Metarush is a humorous racing game set across different locations in a quirky, intergalactic metaverse. Players must navigate obstacles to avoid being eliminated and compete with other runners to reach the finish line first without falling off the suspended track.

Only the fastest players can qualify to advance to the next level. Runners continue to battle on increasingly challenging racecourses until only one is left to earn the title of champion.

Players can customize their runner characters with non-fungible tokens (NFTs) outfits, skins, and items that will be interoperable across Myria games.

Metarush is still at the early development stage, but sneak peeks of the game are already available on Metarush’s Twitter account, and a closed marketing demo will be released soon. Metarush is one of the first games developed by Myria’s internal game studio. Myria’s gaming ecosystem will expand further this year, with several other upcoming games also in development.

Myria has adopted a play-and-earn model instead of the popular play-to-earn (P2E) model to make its games accessible to all players. Unlike play-to-earn blockchain games requiring users to buy an NFT before they can start to play, gamers can play Metarush for free without spending money on NFTs upfront. Players will still have the chance to earn prizes based on their in-game skill.

Myria’s Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain solution uses ZK-rollup technology to scale digital assets and reduce transaction times. Using smart contracts on the Ethereum network, ZK-rollups process batches of transactions off-chain, which minimizes the data that must be processed on-chain, resulting in faster transaction processing times. Myria is implementing ZK rollups for Metarush players to benefit from high transaction speeds, zero gas fees, and free NFT minting.

Myria aims to bring blockchain gaming to the world and has over 300,000 users in their community and more than 220 projects in development on its blockchain.
