Capcom made the announcement via the Japanese magazine Famitsu. Later, Gamespot confirmed the information but with the additional happy news that it’s coming out worldwide. You can look for the game in North America and Europe on December 12th and in Japan on December 13th.

From what Capcom revealed, the game will be available digitally for all platforms for a sweet $20 price tag. In addition, a physical edition will be released for PlayStation 4.

You’ll be able to enjoy enhanced 4K graphics on all platforms as well as the ability to play on widescreen format. If you have a bent for the past, however, you can go back to the original 2007 4:3 ratio.

The game was originally released for PlayStation 2 in 2006. The graphic style is inspired by traditional Japanese art.

You’ll be able to look forward to more Capcom re-releases in the future too. The company has promised that HD remasters are “one of its key business activities”. That’s good news indeed.

You can learn more about the game on its official site.
