Pokémon Café Mix, a brand new title in the Pokemon mobile franchise, is about to serve up some sweet puzzles on Nintendo Switch and mobile, beginning on 23 June 2020.
If you have ever taken a look at the gargantuan success of Pokémon Go and decided that it was too much effort then the collection of well known pocket monsters is about to give you something a little more sedate to play on your mobile from this month. Revealed at the Pokemon Present Online Show, yet another online directly to gamers presentation for us all to keep track of, the Pokémon themed title mixes the brightly colored Bulbasaur with a series of matching puzzles.
A Massive Menu
What initially looks like another match 3 adventure turns out to have its own twist. While there are plenty of straightforward hurdles to get by, you’ll need to set up a café to get to them. In order to unlock stages, progress, and become the very best you will need to open a café and attract customers. Borrowing ideas that lean heavily into titles such as Food Fantasy, players can order dishes build friendships, and earn bonuses that will assist during gameplay. As your café grows, Pokémon Café Mix rewards players with new items, brand new arenas, and a bunch of new Pokemon customers. While this sounds all very bizarre, the café theme seems to have worked in other mobile games, and it isn’t the strangest Pokemon idea to succeed when you think about it.
