arhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin Open Beta

The Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin Open Beta is here to reign chaos and destruction upon your weekend, and it’s live now.

Friday fun hits a little different in Frontier’s latest title to hit open beta. Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin began its assault on our free time just a few hours ago for players across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. This early sample of the upcoming tactical experience will run across the weekend, finishing on 10 July at 11:59pm BST (3:59pm PT).
Anybody jumping in for the first time will need to get a Frontier Account. If you have already played the likes of Elite Dangerous or Jurassic World Evolution, then you will probably already have one. After that, it’s just a case of downloading on your chosen storefront and heading into battle.

Over the next few days, anybody can hop in to try out this upcoming campaign. The latest Warhammer title is a tactical foray into the Age of Sigmar. It’s neither tied to the 40K campaigns or the Total War franchise. Instead, you’ll find yourself facing off against Orcs and the like in a massive strategic campaign. As you follow this through, expect to tame the savage Realm of Beasts. Takle part in a brutal tug-of-war for control of the map by summoning troops onto the battlefield, gathering resources, capturing Victory Points and outwitting your opponents.
The Open Beta includes the option to play 1v1 or against an AI bot. Console and PC players can try using the game’s unique DirectStep control scheme for the first time, which allows for rapid-fire movement orders, cycling orders, and an intuitive command of the battlefield.

Aside from a taste of the war to come, you’ll get to see the top tier animation on offer too. This might be bloody warfare, but it certainly isn’t Blood Bowl. Take a look at what’s waiting in the Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin Open Beta and start your campaign over at the official website now.
