Sins of a Solar Empire II Gets Multiplayer in Its Tech Preview

Sins of a Solar Empire II Multiplayer

Stardock and Ironclad Games have announced that multiplayer has been added to the Sins of a Solar Empire II technical preview. In addition, the update includes new ship models, an updated Research Tree UI, and improved textures for capital ships. Of course, quality-of-life improvements are included as well.

The technical preview of the game offers players a chance to test out new features as they are added to the client. Developers work with the community by asking for and responding to feedback on various systems. The multiplayer addition is no exception.

“Stardock and Ironclad are eager to get feedback from players as they continuously improve upon it. This multiplayer experience is merely the tip of the iceberg. Eager Sins players can get a solid feel for what the new engine brings to the table.” developers wrote.

Multiplayer allows players to join existing games and take over an AI-controlled empire. Players gain a lot of flexibility, especially as competitive matches get longer and longer. Players can also set up private games and invite friends via game codes.
